Upon her return from Europe, Kim attended the University of Utah where she received her MFA in Modern Dance. In addition to her MFA, she is a certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst (CLMA) and incorporates this valuable system into her teaching, performing and choreographic endeavors. Prior to moving to Chicago in late 2007, Kim performed professionally with multiple companies throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and was the project administrator for the non-profit dance organization Bay Area National Dance Week. She has taught at the University of Utah, California State University East Bay, the University of San Francisco, and the University of Chicago. At the moment, she is freelance teaching and choreographing. Kim is fascinated with dance performance, its use for self-exploration and its role in culture and community.
