Master Class Tomorrow by Autumn Eckman!

Autumn Eckman will be teaching another class tomorrow at BARS from 9 to 10:30 pm. Please spread the word! 

Master Classes by Autumn Eckman

There has been a slight change in the schedule for this quarter's master classes. Autumn Eckman will be teaching her first class next Wednesday, October 24, at BARS from 9 to 10:30. Some dance experience is recommended but definitely not required.

This will also serve as an alternate company audition for those who missed the one this Monday. Please make sure to arrive 10 minutes early if you do plan on auditioning.

Company Audition

We are having our first-ever Company Audition this Monday, Oct. 15, at BARS from 7:00 to 9:00pm. 

We are looking for talented dancers willing to commit to the UCDancers team. The auditions will consist of a warm-up and several center routines. Members of the team will be given the opportunity to choreograph for our winter show and will be expected to perform in each other's pieces.

Beginner's Contemporary Jazz Classes Next Week!

Want to get back into shape? There will be two student-taught classes next week:

Monday 10/8, from 7:30 - 9:00 PM

Wednesday 10/10, from 9:00 - 10:30 PM

Both classes will be at BARS. They are free and open to all university members. All levels of experience are welcome!

Welcome Back!

Hi Everyone, 

We are very excited to let you know that we are planning to make some significant changes this year in an effort to make UC Dancers a more active and cohesive group! Here is a brief summary of what to expect for the coming year.  

Company: We are going to be creating a small company that will be performing at various events on campus apart from the annual winter show. Members would be required to attend rehearsals and a certain number of classes and workshops per quarter. Company auditions will be held on Monday, October 15, from 7 to 8:30. 

Classes: Autumn Eckman, the Artistic Associate Director of Giordano Dance, is going to be teaching some master classes this quarter. Her first class is going to be on Sunday, October 21, from 11 to 12. To start of the year, there will also be two basic contemporary jazz classes next week (Monday from 7:30 to 9 and Wednesday from 9 to 10:30). All classes are free and open to all university members. 

Show: We are going to have our annual winter show sometime by the end of February. The date of the audition has not yet been finalized but will probably be around the 7th week of fall quarter. This is open to everyone but we strongly encourage those interested in auditioning to attend as many classes as possible. 

Events: We are going to be organizing a lot more trips this year. If you are interested in taking a class or in watching a show, please let one of us know and we will try to plan a group trip.

Note that all of our events will be in BARS this quarter.
